I totally get this.  My biggest fear when starting this business was that I didn’t want my friends and family to feel harassed or pressured.  I didn’t want to ruin my relationships.  Further, I didn’t know how I would meet and introduce others without jumping on them.

The truth is, you don’t have to harass your friends and family.  When you have a product you like and a business you enjoy, you love to share it.  So you share it once with them and maybe occasionally share new things with them but you don’t constantly harass them.  I think network marketing companies get a bad rep from consultants who don’t realize that there is a better way. 

You are looking for your people.  The ones who want what you have.  Like any business, you have to share what you have in order to find customers.  And, while starting with people you already know is a good starting point for getting the word out, it isn’t the only way to build your business. 

As I’ve mentioned before, this is not a get-rich-quick business.  While there are some people who manage to build their businesses quickly, the majority have to take the time to slowly build a foundation.  Most businesses, even traditional ones, aren’t born overnight.  Come into it with the right mind frame and you will be far ahead of most people.
