It’s amazing.  The older you get, the faster time flies.  I swear I just graduated high school last year but I woke one morning and over 15 years had gone by.   And you know what?  We spend a lot of that time waiting.

Waiting in lines. Waiting in traffic.  Waiting for our dreams to take off.  Waiting for the perfect moment to start our next adventure. Waiting for life to begin.

Stop Waiting

Stop Waiting and Get Out of Your Comfort Zone | #takerisks #goforit #stopwaitingstartdoing

When it comes to our lives, we need to stop waiting and start doing!

Now, don’t get me wrong. I have had some amazing experiences in my life.  I spent time traveling around the country with my husband, I have lived in several different states, I have participated in some amazing activities and found new loves like acting and photography.  But, my personality type seems to be that I am always looking for the next thing or waiting for a new adventure.  I have big dreams and come up with amazing ideas but always seem to be waiting for the follow through.

It’s time to stop waiting and create my own adventure.  Which is what I’ve started doing.  We close on our house this month.  I started this blog.  I am finally losing weight and getting healthy.  I’m investing more into my passions like photography and art.  I have big plans and I’m not letting anything hold me back.

And now, it’s your turn!

Is there something you dream of doing?  A business you have always wanted to start?  A career you have always wanted to pursue?  A hobby that calls out to you?

Step Out of Your Comfort Zone

Don’t let the doubts and fears hold your back.  Tune out the negativity and the naysayers.  And with that beings said, try stepping out of your comfort zone.

We don’t continue learning and growing if we stay in our bubbles.  Figure out what scares you or something you may have wanted to try but are too afraid or uncomfortable to do it and do it anyway.  You don’t get over fears by sitting still.

My big thing was acting. I always had a fascination with it and a desire to try it but I didn’t want to seem silly or make a fool of myself. I dabbled in classes here and there and then one day I decided to really go for it.  I enrolled in some amazing classes and instantly fell in love.  I found a freedom and a sense of self in being able to let go and go for it.

I would recommend getting involved in an acting class even if you aren’t interested in acting.  You really have to dig deep and find an inner strength when going through the classes and you will discover things about yourself you never knew before.

So, if there is something you have always wanted to do or a fear you have always wanted to get past, what are you waiting for?  Get out there and do it!
