We are at the end of week 6 of my weight loss journey and, I have to say, this week was HARD. I am so sick of eating the same old thing. All I wanted to eat this week was a sandwich with the bread or a piece of fruit or something, ANYTHING that wasn’t meat and cheese.
I didn’t, though. I pushed through it. I gritted my teeth, made my child her grilled cheese sandwich, and ignored the little voice in my head saying “One little bite won’t hurt.” And…it paid off! I am officially under 230. 229.4 to be exact. That was my latest weight loss goal…to be under 230. So, this week, I am resolving to try some new recipes so I can stick to my diet without going crazy.

My goals, as always, for this week:
- Workout 4x this week.
- Stick to 20 net carbs and 1500 calories a day.
- Get at least 7 hours of sleep.
- Try out at least 2 new recipes so I don’t die of boredom!
What I Have been Eating
So, in a typical day, I eat the following:
Breakfast – 6 Breakfast Sausages (I eat pre-cooked ones that I can just pop in the microwave. I don’t have time in the mornings to cook breakfast.)
Lunch – Usually leftovers from the night before. See dinner.
Dinner – 6-8oz Steak and a large salad with 2 Tbsp ranch dressing. I make enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day.
Snacks – Cheddar cheese sticks, a few ounces of deli meat like roast beef or turkey, or, my new favorite for something crunchy, Cheese Whisps. You can find these in the deli section of the grocery store. They are basically 100% cheese “crackers” and are great when you are craving something crunchy.
I also have one or two cups of coffee a day with 2oz of half and half in each one.
All together, while staying around my goal of 20 net carbs, I have also been staying within a 1500 or less calorie range. Add to this my 4 exercise sessions and you become a weight loss machine.
