So, with the lovely new virus on the loose and our orders to socially distance ourselves, my cruise has been cancelled. I’m looking on the bright side. Perhaps I can get to my ultimate goal weight, instead of just part way there, before the cruise. We are hoping to take it in January of next year now.
However, in order make the full goal, I have got to get back on track. With everything so up in the air, my fitness goals have fallen to the wayside. Stress makes me eat. And, while I am not overly concerned with the virus itself (we should all still safe, though), I am concerned about the economic impact for my family and the people in our country. It’s a stressful time.
You know what is good for stress, though? Exercise. So, starting next week, I will be back to my daily walks. Perfect weather for it where I am at. And my diet. I didn’t just fall off the wagon. I threw myself off of it with such force that I’ve been a little afraid that it might be too difficult to try and jump back on. But jump on, I must. I will not be posting numbers this week. I’m fairly sure I have gained back at least 5 pounds of the limited amount I have lost so far. I’d like to make sure I am actually tracking my progress when I am trying to reflect if it is working or not. Once I start back, I will post updated numbers including the weight gain I suspect has happened.
For now, I am putting my Countdown to Cruise series on hold until I get back to the program and have something to report.
I hope you all are staying as safe as you can and wish you much health and prosperity. Let’s continue to pray for our nation and use this time to do the things we have always wanted to do but never had time for like learning something new, developing good habits, and, perhaps, getting closer to God.
